Focus on re-cycling...... Wormry

The children at Raureka Kindergarten use  rubbish bins with colour coded labelling in both English and Te Reo Maori. They know that plastic /Kirihou goes in the yellow/kowhai one and paper/ pepa goes in the green/kakariki  one. The blue/kikorangi bucket is for any organic/paraumu left overs and is fed to our worms. We then collect " worm wee's" which in turn is put back into our garden. Children have created a link with the environment and home by transporting their knowledge to family/ whaanau about re-cycling awareness.
